This property was constructed in the early 1990’s. The bedroom accommodation was adequate for the family needs but the kitchen to the rear of the house was small and dark.
We left the kitchen in its existing position and opened up the back wall of the house at this point. A modern single storey extension was built to the rear and wrapped around the side of the property to provide a luxurious open plan kitchen/living/ dining area, along with a new utility room. A key design element was to engage with the garden and the extensive glazing brought the south facing garden into the room.
